Senate: JFC note to Arroyo ‘untimely, disrespectful’
Senators on Friday minced no words in telling the Joint Foreign Chambers of the Philippines (JFC) that their letter sent to President Arroyo regarding reforms in the power sector was “untimely and disrespectful.”
“It is misguided to think that if you write a letter to the President, the Senate will immediately sweep everything off the table and stop what it is doing,” Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago, head of the Joint Congressional Power Commission (PowerCom), said as she opened the hearing on Friday.
