Bad weather grounds 2 PAL flights
Bad weather caused by Typhoon Igme (international codename Fung-Wong) has led to the cancellation of two Philippine Airlines flights that will pass near the storm.
Cancelled flights include PR 896 bound for Manila to Taipei at 7:50 a.m. and PR 897 from Taipei to Manila, which was supposed to arrive at 1:20 p.m.
Weather bureau PAGASA said Igme has intensified further and is now off the eastern coast of Taiwan on Monday. The typhoon is projected to be 250 km west southwest of Taipei, Taiwan by Tuesday morning.
Public storm warning signal No. 3 is still in effect over Batanes Group of Islands while signal No. 2 has been hoisted over Calayan Group of Islands, Babuyan Group of Islands, Northern Cagayan, Apayao and Ilocos Norte.
Signal no. 1 has been raised over the rest of Cagayan, Kalinga, Abra, Mt. Province, Ilocos Sur, Ifugao, Benguet, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, and Bataan.
