A high school student, believed to have committed suicide, was found hanging inside his family’s house in Novaliches area in Quezon City late Monday.

Police investigation revealed that the 17-year old male victim could have killed himself using a cable wire from a bicycle’s brake when his mother reportedly discovered his body hanging inside the kitchen around 11 p.m.

Estrella Caniotan, the victim’s mother, said she could not accept the sudden death of her son. She said that her son did not confide any problems to her. She added however that her son did receive a scolding prior to the incident.

“He was accused of stealing. He was also scolded for being lazy… that’s what I see,” said the victim’s mother in the vernacular.

Police probers however would not yet eliminate foul play in the incident, considering that the victim’s body was already laid down on a sofa when they arrived at the scene. With a report from Doland Castro, ABS-CBN News
