Man killed, companion hurt in QC stabbing incident
MANILA, Philippines - A man was killed and another wounded in a stabbing incident early Tuesday morning in Quezon City, police said.
PO2 Rodel Tomanday of the Quezon City Police said the fatality was identified only as “Alias Totoy,” who succumbed to multiple stab wounds around 3:30 a.m.
He died while undergoing treatment at the Quezon City General Hospital, where he was rushed by concerned citizens around 1:30 a.m.
Also brought to the hospital was his companion, Rommel Rabago, 24, who was stabbed once in the abdomen. He is still undergoing treatment.
According to police, the stabbing incident happened along Bonifacio Avenue in Balingasa village in Quezon City.
The two victims were walking along the street with two others after coming from an eatery videoke when six unidentified men stabbed the two for still undetermined reason.
The victims’ companions managed to get away and report the incident.
