MANILA, Philippines — A Filipino priest will open the first Catholic university in Ethiopia in Eastern African, the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) said Tuesday.
The CBCP website (www.cbcpnews.com) said Dominican priest Virgilio Ojoy will head the Ethiopia Catholic University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Ecusta) in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.

The television channel formerly known as ABC 5 is now the number 3 most-watched station nationwide.
According to AGB Nielsen Media Research on National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM), TV5 captured a 3.7% viewership on its first week of airing. The figure was based on a survey on Channel Household Shares Week 33.
ABS-CBN Channel 2 placed first nationwide with 42.2% while rival GMA-7 landed on the second spot at 37.3%.
RPN 9, which is now consolidated with Crime and Suspense Channel on cable tv, placed fourth at 2.7%.
TV5 is the new brand name of ABC 5, which entered into a “long-term block airtime agreement” with MPB Primedia Inc., local subsidiary of the Malaysian conglomerate Media Prima Berhad.
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) warned millers on Tuesday that they could be charged with profiteering if they fail to bring down flour prices in relation to current world market prices.
This came after bakers said on Monday they won’t be able to stop another round of price increases in their products, which they attributed to the high price of flour.
